Edge 540 won't charge anymore and cannot be turned on

After a winter break, my Edge 540 won't charge anymore and cannot be turned on.

After resetting it numerous time, it briefly turned on but died again after a few minutes.

During these few minutes I could sync it with Garmin Connect, which told me that the software is up-to-date.

Just bought the device in Nov 2025.

What to do???

I have tried this aleady with various different power sources (as i have usb-c charging). When plugging a power cable it shows the flash symbol which is striked out in red. At the same time when resetting, on some screen it show the garmin logo and below more than 60% battery. Still, it does not turn on. In about 20-30 reset attemps, there was only one occassion when the device actually loaded and i could even connect it to garmin connect. However, after few minutes it shut down again.

Have you tried two different Garmin cables?

Does the device turn off immediately when you unplug the device from the charger?

What reset are you doing? Are you holding buttons or doing a factory reset?

I have tried 4 or 5 different usb-c cables.

Device turns off instantly when removing the charger.

Reset by holding the top left (red) button.
