Annoying Weather Alerts...

I find the Weather Alerts to be very annoying. Often I am riding along and get a "Gale Warning" alert. The leaves are barely moving, but this alert comes up and blocks half the view of my Garmin 520! Or once I got a "Extreme Winter Weather" alert. Uh, I live in SoCal, so extreme winter is below 60F.

I'd like to disable the Weather Alerts. How can this be done?

You can turn it off in the GC Mobile app under My Device>Device Settings>Weather Alerts

That only works for about 30 seconds, then Garmin Connect turns it right back on as soon as you close it. It's a completely broken feature.

I just chatted with Garmin tech support after posting my previous response. It sounds like it is a known issue related to the latest iOS operating system, so it would only impact those people linking their iPhone with their device and having the latest iOS update installed. They are trying to figure it out and get it taken care of. In the meantime, I have had to just disable the bluetooth connection between the phone and device altogether.

Thanks for the info. I haven't yet updated to iOS 15.
