I've turned weather alerts off because I'd get too darned many. This feature would be useful if it were possible to:
Filter out alerts about conditions that are obvious to anyone who is outside and in the area... like excessive heat warning or areal flood warning (In Saint Louis we can get areal flood warnings for months on end)
Limit it to one alert per weather condition, because the couple times I've been riding when a big storm was approaching, I'd get dozens of alerts of slightly different wording all about the same storm. And I also got them over and over again... don't know why but maybe I crossed a weather service region boundary, or maybe they made some minor change to the alert like changed the time it expires or the counties it affects. But hey Garmin, thank you for telling me about the storm. Now please leave me alone so I can focus on getting somewhere safe!
