Edge 520 not displaying HR even though paired to Fenix5+ in broadcast mode.

Edge 520 not displaying HR even though paired to Fenix5+ in broadcast mode. Fenix5+ in broadcast mode and I can see the HR reading on the watch face. Edge 520 finds HR sensor and shows connected, but the data screens for HR are blank. It did work back on July 13, I have a ride recorded with HR using the Fenix as the HR monitor, but it hasn't worked since. I've tried forgetting the device and adding it again. No luck.

Through no help of Garmin, I have borrowed several devices determined that my Edge 520 is working fine and will display HR from other watches that are capable of broadcasting HR (Fenix 3HR is what I used). I also purchased a new Edge 830 and it does the same thing as described above...connects to Fenix 5X plus but only displays HR intermittently.
