520 not recognising USB cable after firmware 12.80

Since firmware version update 12.80 my 520 will not charge, nor enter storage when connected to a PC.

I have tried:
soft reset.
tried a brand new USB cable.
factory reset.
tried to force to mass storage with the new cable.
tried another factory reset then both cables.
tried a gentle clean of dust etc from the port.

Its still not charging nor being recognised when connecting to the PC nor powering on the cables.

I somehow got into a versions screen, part of which clearly shows No Cable Det - this was when I had the original Garmin cable connected then the new USB cable. Also shows the device is on the latest firmware versionciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1409096.jpg

Visually inspect the pins in the USB on the Edge, check that one of the pins is not damaged.

Hi aweatherall. Checked that against an image of the pins/port for a 520, all look normal and zero signs of damage

I'm also looking for one like this. I checked Amazon, but I didn't find anything. Honestly, Amazon is full of invitations and stuff that you don't even need. I'm fed up with Chinese cheap quality products. So I'm not surprised that I couldn't find a miner. To add to these I've stopped shopping from Amazon even when it comes to doing electronics as I trust magone.net/.../תיקים-לאישה from Israel and I have only one source that I really use in terms of quality and pricing!
