GPS Settings In Activity Profiles

I thought (perhaps erroneously) that it's possible to configure the GPS setting ("GPS", "GPS+GLONASS" or "Off") for each individual Activity Profile; and that the Edge 520 would automatically start up in that profile with the GPS as per the setting.

Apparently not. I have an Activity Profile set up called "Spinning" for indoor cycling, where I have the GPS set to "Off". However, when the 520 starts up in this profile, it still searches for then locks onto the GPS sats. It's then necessary to manually turn off the GPS each time (if you forget to do this, then you get one of those great chicken-with-its-head-cut-off GPS tracks for the indoor session).

Am I missing something here?

This has come up before. The 520 does default to GPS on when powered up. Although the 520 will default to the last profile data screens after powering up, you need to actually select the profile to get its settings. If you click on the upper right button before pressing start you will get a profile selection screen with the last active one preselected. So it is pretty easy to select the profile before pressing start and probably a good habit to have so you will always get the right profile.
