Shut down during cycling

Hello during a cycle today my Garmin 130 switched off, went blank. Switched it back on and the message appeared “ride on progress”, unfortunately this occurred three times and the average speed recorded remain unchanged. After finishing my ride all the data was lost. I’m very disappointed. Is there any recommendations to rectify?

Is there an error log in the Garmin\Debug folder on the unit?

Did this happen due to cold weather causing a low battery condition quicker than expected? 'Tis the season... That's the only time my 130 has shut off unexpectedly, just simply shut down on low battery. Will restart but obviously will shut down again soon after with same low battery condition.

Did you find an answer to this? Having same issue. No external sensors but was on very rough downhill mountain bike park terrain

This happened to me on a long ride - 92 miles. It was running out of battery earlier than expected. Luckily, I had a phone charge with me that I could connect to it to finish my ride (charged while stopped at a winery).
