Edge 1050 third consecutive reboot during navigation

I am on the latest stable release with my just purchased Edge 1050. 
I have a Varia UT800 and the new Varia radar connected. 

For the third time in a row it tries to recalculate the route and gets stuck at 80%. It then becomes unresponsive and requires a hard reboot. 

Extremely disappointed that a mature product continue to be as unstable…anyone else experiencing this???

    The result is this screen that even a force reboot doesn’t fix. The Garmin reboots, lets me start another activity and results in the same issue immediately after the route starts loading.

    Is there a RAM.zip in the 

    Garmin\Debug\dump folder?

    I haven’t checked. Will be looking to return this for a refund. 
    No suggestions that didn’t involve multiple steps on my part from Support

    Have the same issue !

    I was doing a 6 days bikepacking trip and the device stop working after 3 days ! keeps rebooting when calculating.

    I had this issue already in the past. 

    Garmin support asked to :

    - update to the latest version

    - factory reset

    - do not import GPX and use only Geramin Connect > !!!!

    I just want a device that works straight away without starting to debug, reset, ... and do any particular action.

    A pain, this device is not reliable. For this cost, this is unacceptable, in particular the last point.

    same here ,same in a bikepacking ride...I loaded 650km GPX file ..now I try to split long rides in multiple ones.  But yesterday crashed without any navigation....very annoying

    did you already applied the suggestions of Garmin support and the device reboot the same?

    I have seen similar reports with route recalculation getting stuck and having to hard reboot the device every time would definitely be frustrating especially on a brand-new Edge 1050.

    Since you are running the latest stable firmware I would try disconnecting the Varia devices temporarily and testing route recalculation without them. If it still freezes around 80%, that would point more toward the routing/firmware side rather than the radar or light connection.

    It might also be worth doing a full sync and checking whether Garmin has released a newer firmware update since you last updated. If others are seeing the exact same 80% freeze, it would be useful to compare firmware versions and whether they are using the same map/route settings.

    I'm running the lastest firware.

    I have this issue since the i purchased the device one year ago, with different firware version, with different routes/maps. No Varia devices connected at all.

    I've asked for a reimbursement. I need something reliable.
