The other day I followed a route on my 1040, and I had 8 climbs recognized by 1040. But when checking on Connect (it is same looking in the 1040 it self) there are only 5 climbs shown.
Most notable there are two prominent climbs missing, especially the second one marked had more than 1000 meters.
Why is this? Can they be "recovered" for analysis?

I see what the problem is and I have a ticket already open with Garmin on this. I've been told that it will be fixed for the Q2 software update.

So when a climb starts two types of record types are created.
There are ClimbPro records that mark the start and end points.
Then there are split records that provide information about the whole climb and sections within the climb. It is the split records that are used by Garmin Connect to plot the climbs. Two of the climbs have the ClimbPro records, but not the split records.
The green dotted line in the plot is the ClimbPro start and the Red dotted line is the ClimbPro end.
I have then pulled data from the ClimbPro records.
