garmin 810 stops recording speed and distance in the middle of a ride

My 810 edge has stopped recording speed and distance in the middle of a ride. It will still record cadence and heart rate but seems the GPS locator is not working properly. Any suggestions on a repair. should i reboot the system? is this the end of a great product?

one more thing, if I turn the Garmin off and then on again the same thing happens. It starts showing speed and distance then stops recording. the display is always on so I do not think it has to do with…

Hello, since a few days I had the same with edge 1030. Did you find a solution for it ?
