Edge 1030 is not showing real speed

Edge 1030 is not showing accurate speed , showing the same speed all the time and not changing ( 16.5 mph ) , even when I stop the speed still show on the screen and doesn't  show   0 mph on the screen , it use to work very well before , ???

  • Did you connect a speed sensor ? It's battery is good ? If you have a speed sensor wheel rotation produce speed measure. You also need the wheel diameter entered or auto-calculated for this to be accurate. If you don't have that sensor, speed is then based on GPS location. For that one to work you need a good GPS signal. And it won't work if you do indoor cycling - you need a speed sensor in that case. Tell more about your case and it will be easier to help you.

  • I would recommend reviewing your data screens to be sure that you don't have the field set to average speed or possibly max speed. Are you using a speed sensor?
