no se england maps on edge 1030

I updated my Garmin Edge 1030 at xmas and since then I have lost the whole south east and south west of England maps. (well the parts of wales, london, and lewes i visited over xmas.) I have been in contact with Garmin and they said its a "software issue" but haven't given any indication when it will be fixed so im stuck with a pretty useless device. Has anyone else encountered this issue and know how to solve it? Im bored of waiting on Garmin.

Which maps you have on the Edge and which are enabled?

Go to http://www.frikart.no/garmin/index.html and follow the instructions for the areas you want and version (map file for direct install on GPS or installer for Basecamp).

Go to the menu, Activity Profiles, <active profile (e.g. Road)>, Navigation, Map, Map Information

and check that Garmin Cycle Map EU 2019.20 North East and Garmin Cycle Map EU 2019.20 South West are enabled.

I think the UK is in EU North East but worth checking both.

You might need to reinstall maps if they're corrupted somehow, you can do this from Garmin Express on a PC or Mac.

jgforrest Good call on the map information page, I would agree. joepud Please Select > Activity Profiles , select a profile, and select Navigation > Map and make sure that all of the maps are enabled.

If they are all enabled and you still aren't seeing the map please follow the instructions from this article to reinstall the maps:

have you added any 3rd party maps on your edge?

I think, I may have fixed it I found an old thread which may habe solved the problem. Gonna do a test ride tomorrow. If the problem continues I will try the steps

Sounds good, if it does fix it can you share the solution? Chances are if you've had this problem someone else will too and might stumble across this thread.

I found the solution on here. I think there are 2 options update your edge1030 via a windows machine. Or Use a different version of Garmin Express for map.
