Problems uploading rides

Hi. Since upgrading to the latest firmware, version 7 5, I can't upload my ride files, either automatically or via USB. The ride is in my history on the unit but will not upload. When I try to upload from the history either the upload button doesn't appear or if it does I get an Upload Failed message. When I plug the device into my PC the PC does not see it. I have tried restarting the unit and logging out of and back into Garmin Connect. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have problems with autouploading as well, and manual uploading from the list. The way I have to do it is simply press the sleep button to get the device in sleepmode and then press it again to wake it…

The way I have to do it is simply press the sleep button to get the device in sleepmode and then press it again to wake it up. As soon as the device is back on the trip is successfully autouploaded. I think it started with 7.5

It's strange but all the problems you are having went away when I upgraded to 7.50

Yep, I am seeing the same behaviour. Ride does not automatically upload on wifi when I am back home. Press Sleep and wake up and then it uploads. Started happening with v7.50 (more great testing by Garmin!!)

Downgraded to firmware 7.40 and it is working again.

I have the same problems uploading, but as soon as I plug the 1030 into my computer the files are automatically transferred. I have also experienced the 1030 shutting itself off twice since the firmware upgrade.

I will try backing down to 7.4, until 7.6 is released.

Garmin. You should be embarrassed by this fault and still not doing anything to resolve it. I plan to change my garmin and power meters to an alternative vendor. You cannot get the basics right

Delete the bt connections on your phone to your garmin edge device (you should have two of them) open garmin connect app and do a new pairing. Had the same issue as you, but in my case I had deleted one of the bt connections. Thought there was a problem since two showed up.

Agreed. I care less about new feature development than having basic ride uploading not working. :(

Just had this same problem, the sleep / awake procedure did the trick, thank you!
