screen with halo blue

Hello,
Above my Edge 1030, I have a halo blue on the edges of the screen.
I use my Edge without brightness.
Is this normal?

Garmin changed my EDGE 1030 but today the fixation unit is broken (Quarter Turn Base Lips broke) See topic : forums.garmin.com/.../quarter…

There is a new typ of display. Settings -> System ->about -> Copyright Info.
TSc Version 86.04.00 is the new display.

Hi,

I want to ask all, who have replaced the edge 1030 against a new edge with the new display tsc 86.04.00.
is the new dispaly also getting the halo effect so far?

Just notices a thin blue halo at the edge today. I'll have to take a picture tomorrow. My screen is TSC Version 85.11.00. Is this the problem screen? Does it get thicker with time?

Question for you guys, is this blue halo actually a problem or just cosmetic? Mine has it but I don't mind, but if it's going to simply die some day from this I'll got hru the hassle of getting a replacement.

The blue border is caused by the fact that the individual layers of the display progressively separate from each other from the border inwards. This process is slowly progressing. There have been devices where the touch screen's wire mesh has become visible.

Sorry I had not gotten back. I noticed when on my road ride with my radar connected and active the blue halo shows up after a bit. I did not keep track of the time but was at least 30 minutes. When on the mountain bike with no radar, don’t need it in the woods, I don’t see the blue halo even after 2-1/2 hours. Kinda crazy. And I’ll reach one year of use the end of February.

My the same 1030 called Garmin New Zealand. Serial number confirmed info confirmed. Called the shop I got if from. Replaced from shop brand new in hours. Fantastic service and no missing training

To be honest mine is easier to unlock. I was able to press the switch off button (left) without rotating the device. In this case I press the power off button and the device starts to rotate, which is not good. I thought this is more recent and the holder is old, but it looks like mine should be a refurbished one as well....
