Upload Failure

I've finally got my 1030 to work with my new wifi router, it wasn't until the latest firmware update that it would connect (but no error messages). It used to work fine with the old router. But I cannot upload activities. Auto Upload doesn't seem to do anything, manual upload displays "Upload Failed".

Any ideas how to fix, I figured I may have to re-authenticate with garmin connect or strava (I'm not 100% sure where it's actually uploading to) but I cannot find any setting on the 1030 or the garmin connect website or garmin express where I can setup the account / credentials used. Can someone please advise.

Turns out I had to log out of the Garmin Connect app on my phone. Once I had logged back in it worked. Strange as my Garmin Forerunner 920XT had no issues.

I don't think it's a file issue, all files upload fine using garmin connect via usb, but no file uploads directly from the 1030 using wifi.

Try temporarily disabling and enabling the wifi and auto upload on the edge 1030, that helped for me when I had upload problems some time ago.

The only way I got this to work was to turn off the 1030 and turn it back on again. If I try and upload from the ride's history, I get an upload failed. If I try and sync manually from the iOS application The arrows will spin, then the phone will report the upload failed because the device was busy. If I plug the 1030 in via USB the ride will sync file via Garmin Express. This has happened for months for me through several firmware updates.

Try disabling bluetooth and try uploading from the ride's history again

Thank you bazcurtis !! This worked for me on my Garmin Edge 530.

Perhaps a change in the EULA triggered this - As I had to accept again for some reason? Cheers.
