Routes Organization

Hi, Garmin Team,

Why is it not possible to organize the routes in folders??? If I put my favorites into the device it will be a long list. It could be very easy to organize them into folders. To be sure you know what i mean: I want that the device also implement subfolders on the folder Garmin/Courses. I have a SD Card with a lot of Memory but it will be very confusing without an organization.

Any advance on this issue? I created a sub-folder from my PC in the courses folder on my Garmin 1030 and it's invisible to the device! Why oh why is this so difficult! It's a peanut addition to the device facilities and I would expect that cutting it out probably requires more work than leaving it in.

The course list has always been flat. It's not likely to change.

The did restore the ability to have the list sorted by distance from your current location.

I find my iPhone a much better place to manage courses. I regularly delete them from the edge. I send them when I need them. On the iPhone it is easier to filter Sort and visualise courses. I do the edits on garmin connect website. Any GPX I get I import it to connect before using it as a proper course. Works better for me than than doing any management on the edge.

Good Idea. I can do way points on my Montana 610. Categories for points of interest. Or at least have th eoption to show the closest routes and tracks.

Loads of memory on my SD card. Would be a very significant improvement if I did not need a bluetooth or wifi link to get at organised routes. I view this as a serious design failure!
