Downloaded map of North America on SD card but not seen by the Garmin Edge 1000. What to do ?

I bought the latest North America Maps from Garmin with Garmin Express I downloaded it. The maps files are on the SD card but when I look for the installed maps, I only see the EU map and not the new map. What to do to be able to see the new map ?Edge 1000 Internal Memory.docx

Perhaps the north america maps are not selected (tickbox ‘ on’) in your settings? (Somewhere in your activity profile on your Garmin).
