Rubber cover for Edge 1000 power switch

I need to source a power button for my Edge 1000.
Previous posts have suggested buying a back cover, but the only ones I can find on eBay do not come with the rubber cover for the on/off switch. There are buttons/covers being advertised from Netherlands and USA, but the price is excessive.
I'm not keen on DIY fixes, or non-genuine 3D printed items.
Given this appears to be a common porblem with the Edge 1000, can I buy direct from Garmin?
Or is anyone aware of a source in the UK?

Thanks for your trouble. I did finally manage to get hold of Garmin UK, and frankly the response was derisory. They either cannot or will not repair or refurbish. The best they would offer is 30% off a…

Unfortunately, my experience with Garmin Netherlands Support is no different. I have chosen to pay for a replacement device. I regret my choice. Now three weeks later and several times calling NL support I have not received a replacement. The frustrating thing is that you cannot rely on what Garmin support promises you.

I just cut a piece of old inner tube to the same shape as the rubber cover on the power button, cleaned both my patch piece and the existing split rubber cover with isopropyl alcohol, stuck the patch on with some Sugru mouldable glue, and wrapped some cling wrap around over the repair to hold it in place while the glue dried. Total time about ten minutes - not counting the 24 hours I gave the Sugru to cure - and the repair is still in place over a year later.

yes i have the same problem. Im not paying £195 for them to fix it when its a design fault!. Nor am i paying for an upgrade, not very environmentally friendly. Garmin service is shockingly bad. Will buy a Wahoo now
