Segments not pushing through to Edge

Hi - have been off bike for a while. Long time user of Strava segments on Edge 1000, without issue.

Starred a segment on Strava today, it won't push through to the head unit.

Have updated:

Strava App

GC App

Firmware on Edge

Deleted, starred, unstarred and restarred some Strava segments. Turned Edge on/off numerously, with brief stop/start rides recorded so it syncs. Weirdly the Edge paused to display the "deleting segments" message but did not add the new ones. Those segments are showing on Strava and in Garmin Connect when viewed on GC website, they just won't go through to my head unit (the crucial bit!).

Any help please??

Although they’ll justify its for safety reasons (and I can see why racing down STEEP descents is to be discouraged) I think it’s a bizarre move by Garmin and will be looking to move away from them when I next upgrade my head unit.

It's not a Garmin issue, you will still have the same problem with another brand of head unit because it's Strava forced.

I'm now going to leave Strava premium membership

Third parties can only access what the Strava API's allow. As stated above this is a Strava imposed restriction and will apply to anyone using those API's.

My situation was similar, once linked strava with connect, I had no segments on connect..try to unlink the strava profile from connect and see if it solves the problem.. then you can add strava again if you like it..I don’t!
