Edge 1000 - horizontal line on display

Hello,

I have on my display a thick horizontal line that looks like a pixel problem.

It just appeared out of sudden as I was switching on the device after some time and it wasnt there until last shutdown.

Any ideas how this can happen between last shutdown and newly switch-on ?

Do I have to change the entire touchscreen?

Is this covered by a grace warranty since my device is now already 2 years old?

What can I do to fix it if not a hardware issue?

has anyone else seen this too?

Thanks and cheers, Steve

  • Maybe a full reset to factory defaults can help? If it is a screen problem it's probably not related to the touch screen. The touch screen is a separate piece of hardware that is mounted on top of the display unit that contains the pixels.

I have no clue how a simple power off-on can cause this problem.

  • Hi there and tx but I did already a full hard reset and the display issue is still there so I assume its the LCD screen that is damaged somehow.

I also dont understand what happened between last shut off and recent switch on.

The device was in its cover, stowed away with my other bike gears in a shelf, no drop or hit on it, no pressure or any other weight on it.
