Garmin 1000 will not connect to Garmin Express. Asks for a new p.word then says there is keychain error and cannot connect.

My Garmin 1000 will not connect to Garmin Express on Mac. I get the Screen showing my device with a Red Cross in the top R hand corner. It asks for a new p.word then says there is a keychain error and cannot connect. What do I do?

Have connected without a problem many times in the past

Reinstall Express

Cannot do - on site and am told that I need to be telephoned and it takes 45 mins. Is there any other way??

Thanks. I reinstalled G Express. Same problem - will not allow me to connect my device - says "keychain error". Tried to connect as a new device. Even tho' plugged in and ON doesn't see it.

These instructions should resolve your problem.

Mac OS X:

Click on Spotlight
Type Keychain Access
Press Return
Under the Login keychain, locate com.garmin.cartography.mapupdate.express.auth

Deleting these files will cause Express to prompt the you to enter your Connect credentials again.

Done above - also followed advice of BurningRooftop above. When I try to authenticate the Reset my Keychain change with the(correct) computer login password it says "unable to obtain authorisation"
