What you listed, however, is only partially correct: unless you manually force the search for BLE sensors, the Edge devices tend to search for and detect ANT+ sensors first. I’m pointing this out because exactly the same thing happened to me with the Edge 530: I deleted CIRQA, started a new sensor search, and it was automatically detected and added as ANT+. It works correctly in ANT+. With BLE, however, the situation is completely different: CIRQA keeps switching between “connected/disconnected” and is unable to maintain a stable connection. So, in my opinion, the issue is not simply related to the pairing procedure or sensor priority. It seems to be a specific problem with the BLE communication between CIRQA and the Edge devices.

Forum Post: RE: Fenix 8 returns to the main screen after entering activity screen or browsing menu on 22.41 - 22.44

Maybe we can try to compare sensor/device firmware versions? The radar battery is on 47%. And when I was attempted to wake up the 4iii (rotating the crank arm) and in the mean time I tried to detect it with 4iii sw running on my Android phone I saw the mentioned message twice. The radar was on Bluetooth connection and 4iii was using Ant+ however between my phone and 4iii I suspect only bluetooth connection. So: phone 4iii 1040 Radar Also I do not exclude the fact the Varia SW was also looking for the Radar via BT. I did not start it but I do not know how often does it wake up etc. (Yes, radar was on BT connection, I checked. So if the timer is used for taking time of anything (not sport, not activity) and you want to store the result, you save it. There will be a stored times ("Stopwatch") in Garmin Connect - fine. But in Strava there will be an actiivity. If you don't save it there will be nothing of course. If the app can control the notification, it would be great. When commuting, the HR strap is in my backpack but often connect. So I am not interested in the change. In this case, the strap is paired, it mostly works isolating the strap from being presented, even if that is not the intended usage. Unpairing gives the same notifications. Do you have any activity uploaded to Garmin Connect, or it has not been uploaded? You need to sync your watch with the phone after the hike for the upload to happen. There's a topic over the Enduro 3 forum where flocsy (237419224e814eb7be09ba868d70607f) has issues with some of their activities not uploading to Garmin, maybe you have something similar with a corrupted fit file? FIT files not syncing to Garmin Connect Either way, really nothing you do with your phone should prevent your watch recording your GPS track if you started an activity. However for hiking I'd recommend turning off Auto Pause. at very slow speeds it's not reliable and can result in pausing when you're just going very slowly through difficult parts. If you stop for some break, pause and resume manually, or just let it run continuously. The battery consumption is the same. But having auto pause enabled would still result in an activity and some distance recorded, just maybe not all.

Forum Post: ETrex SE Calories

I’m sure I’m doing something wrong here but does anyone know why activities recorded using an eTrex SE and uploaded to Connect don’t have calories on them, and how I might sort this?

Forum Post: RE: Garmin connect does not properly sync steps to Apple health

This could be that your Connect app is not set as the primary source in Apple Health. Strava has the access to the API of Garmin, so they can read all activities of all types, just as any other 3rd party app enabled in your account can do, too. It is up to them which activities they keep, and which ones they reject. And since, AFAIK, there are a few activity types that Strava does not import, there is probably a reason they keep the activity Stopwatch. Or they just simply did not realize such activity type exists, so did not think of filtering it out. I recommend contacting Strava, and suggesting them to add Stopwatch to their filters.

Forum Post: RE: Garmin Express v 7.29.0 (still) does not give any Manage Maps option for my Edge Explore 2

Kind of funny that this answer was voted best answer, while two months ago in original question I quoted this exact instructions as tried but failed.
