Connect your Garmin to PC and open it in the Windows Explorer 2. Copy the file provided by peggatsch ( https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Zb5gwx9X5dggGJFozWf9OcPsEzOlQ_zB?usp=drive_link ) to the main Garmin folder 3. Create empty file called force.tmp in the main Garmin folder 4. Might need to restart Garmin and it will pick up the downgraded firmware.

Forum Post: Pool Swim drain after 22.35 update

After 22.35 update, pool swim for 45min drained 12% battery. I've been running on the same treadmill with 965 and then 970 for several years now. Calibration after a run always worked very well, next run would be very close in distance. First time ever my watch is completely off and doesn't change with calibration. I run at 9:15-9:30 min/mile and it constantly reads 11:15-12:00 min/mile. Frustrating because running tolerance is completely off as it takes the pre-calibration distance into consideration. Looks like it is also getting slightly worse every run (I calibrate after each run). First couple of runs on 17.33 were relatively ok (although 16.37 calibration was perfect) then the margin of error started getting wider. I believe the issue is with stride length (much shorter than before 0.84-0.87m vs 1.03m-1.07m on previous sw version) and vertical osc (is lower 8.1 vs 9). Looks like my cadence is similar. Distance discrepancy is consistent with shorter stride length. First run on upgrade from 16.37 to 17.33 was 5/29 10m showed 9.57m, 6/2 was 8m showed 7.2m, 6/3 was 12m showed 10.43m. Last few runs: 9m shows 6.5m, 5m shows 4.05m, 13m shows 10.17m, 11m shows 8.88m etc. Tried restarting watch too. Any bug fix on the horizon or other way to get stride and vertical osc. right again?

Forum Post: RE: Treadmill Distance Inaccuracy After Latest SW Update

This is definitely a new bug in 17.33. I reported accelerometer’s problems months ago with no reply. in this case, since new firmware, it got worse. An 800+ € watch only serves as a heart rate monitor (and with better accuracy but not to be proud about) in my case, despite following “instructions “ in this thread, with constant pace during 90min , I made half marathon for the Fenix 8 47mm while treadmill registered 15km (6 min/km). And this is happening despite distance calibration. I upload 2 photos : 1st after 65min and second the remaining 25 min( treadmill max time is 60 min for sesión) this comes with many other problems reported by users , such as farming express problems, with no solution in months. If garmin expects customers buying a new watch if 1000€ every year and a half maybe they are expecting too much, but seems clear that the lack of new features, proper support and updates solving 3 items and messing up either 10 extra reflects they are focused in fenix 9 instead of fenix 8. so I leave the photos and Don’t expect anything from support, as usually.. 1st one is total time of the workout. 15.15km, and the other 2 photos refer to 65min status ( max time for treadmill including 5 min extra of speed decrease ( not used for that, just same pace). For the clock I made half marathon ….. and it was calibrated 2 days ago.

Forum Post: RE: Shot Timer

I mean, that's part of why I think that the tactix 8 probably has the hardware to work as well, if not better than the Shotmaxx line up, given that they're fairly old, and likely packed less applicable sensors than the tactix 8. I just brought them up to illustrate that a wrist-based shot timer isn't unrealistic, and with the sensor suite of the tactix 8, I can definitely see the tactix 8 being a viable wrist-based shot timer.

Forum Post: RE: System Software 25.11 approach s70 not recording rounds

This has been resolved with the latest software update. I will reach out to you via Private Message for this. For the concern with the display remaining black: First, plug the watch into a power source. If this does not work, move onto the next step. Wear the watch on your wrist and ensure it reading heart rate (the green lights on the bottom of the watch will flash when reading HR). Press and firmly hold the Light button (top left) for 20 seconds or until you see the optical heart rate lights turn off. This will guarantee that your watch has turned off. Wait and see if the OHR lights come back on. If they do not, firmly press and release the Light button to turn the watch back on. Once the OHR lights turn back on see if your watch display is now working. If you are still experiencing the black screen after these steps post a new thread for this, as this is not related to this Morning report concern.

Forum Post: RE: Edge 1040/50 fonts

Not sure what you mean, they are just different sizes.
