Hi there

I am used to the workflow in Foreflight to plan my flight with a binder. I put in that binder all plates for:

Departure: Taxi diagram, planned SID

Destination: planned STAR, planned/most likely approaches, VFR plate, taxi diagram

Alternate: most likely approaches, taxi diagram

Then I print all of it (at once!) as one PDF file. I use this as backup or print on paper.

My question is, does Garmin Pilot allow printing an entire binder with select plates too? Couldn't find this option yet.

Where are AIP contents like GEN ENR AD?

Hi everyone

I am a Pilot in Europe and can't find any AIP parts like GEN, ENR, etc. in Garmin Pilot. Where in the app can I find these?

This is very important to me, because there is a different country in an hour flight time in any direction...

I was looking on Android. So, this is not usable as backup on android, unfortunately. I'll stay tuned for this feature.

G1000NXi connects to iPad with Garmin Pilot via Bluetooth but will not make Wifi connection for Database transfers.

Hello! Some points to check here are to make sure your iOS is up to date (26.3.1), make sure your Garmin Pilot app is up to date (26.3), then sign out and back in (potentially also uninstalling and reinstalling the app onto your device). If it still doesn't please contact Aviation Product Support at 866-739-5687 for further troubleshooting.

Garmin Pilot Web sync with ipad

Is Garmin Pilot Web app and Garmin Pilot tablet supposed to seemlessly sync? Mine does not despite checking versions, logging off both devices and logging back in. Only my android device syncs with the web app, ipad does not. My logbook does sync.

Today I AGAIN remove Garmin Pilot and re-installed it. This is the third time I've done that.

Today that bug is gone. It must have been fixedd since the last time I re-install Garmin Pilot.

The great news is that I can continue to use my iOS V17 iPad that I love. I do not plan on getting a new iPad.

Bug: App crash when selecting altitude and departure is outside forecast range

Not sure if this is the best place to report bugs. If not, the proper place is not easily found.

The Garmin Pilot app crashes when attempting to select an altitude in a flight where the departure date is seemingly outside the available wind forecast range.

To reproduce: enter flight plan route; in details tab, select a departure date some days in the future (4 in my case), then attempt to change altitude. The app crashes when the altitude field is tapped.

Garmin Pilot v25.7.1 on Android.

I have a similar issue on 25.12.3

When I touch on an airport on the map, Garmin Pilot crashes and the iPad has to force close Garmin Pilot.

If you use split screen and assign the airport tab to it, you can never use split screen without it crashing.

This just started with 25.12.3 and I WISH I could downgrade to 25.12.2 where my older iPad would still be fine.

The solution of forcing me to buy a $1500 new iPad to get iOS 18 is unacceptable.

My old android tablet running Garmin Pilot 25.7.1 now works better than
my iPad.

My iPad runs iOS 17 and can NOT be upgraded to 18.

Hello, can you confirm that you are on the most recent version of Garmin Pilot and are having this issue? The most current version is 26.2.1 and you can find that by going to Settings>General.

Hello, if you are looking for the AIP documents, please navigate to the documents page in Garmin Pilot on an iOS device, then select "Eurocontrol AIP" under the Europe Documents section. This feature is currently not available on Android.

Thanks very much for the quick response. I greatly prefer track up orientation and find the current position to be a problem for two reasons. One is that I want to be able to see traffic that's coming from behind as well as in front. The other is that the various pop-up option lists appear right over the ownship location and totally obscure the most important part of the display.

I appreciate your considering this. I'm looking for a ForeFlight alternative and this is a feature of that program I've come to appreciate.

How to center on aircraft

The "center on aircraft" control places the current aircraft position near the bottom of the iPad screen (at least in portrait mode). I want it to be in the center like the description of the "center of aircraft" control states. How can I do this?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This behavior has always been present for the Track Up option (as opposed to North Up, which centers the aircraft) to maximize the land ahead of the aircraft. However, we acknowledge that it is also helpful to show the land behind for helicopters, and slower-moving fixed wing aircraft, because of this your interest has been forwarded to our engineering department.

Sending Route from Garmin APP to GTN750

Hello,

I have a strange problem. I'm using the Garmin Pilot app on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 and want to connect it to my GTN 750 in the aircraft via Flightstream. The connection always works perfectly. Everything I enter on the GTN 750 immediately appears in my app as an "update." I can confirm it and see the route on my tablet.

However, I haven't yet figured out why it sometimes fails and sometimes doesn't. I plan a route with Autorouter, receive a PDF, and click the link in the PDF to send it to the Garmin Pilot app. That works, too. I see the route on my tablet. However, I have no way to send it to the aircraft via Connext. The "send" button is simply grayed out. Even restarting the tablet doesn't change anything. If I then enter something directly on the GTN 750, I immediately receive an update on the tablet.

How is this possible?

Sounds typical of everything else Garmin does. I have several pilot friends building aircraft, and not one of them is willing to put ANYTHING Garmin in their airplanes based on experience trying to help another friend who has Garmin in his plane. I'm on the GP trial right now, because I was thinking of leaving ForeFlight after my subscription is over, but just the pain of checklists is probably going to push me a different direction.

Is there a good way to create or import check lists?

Am I missing something on making this easier? It is very tedious to do from a mobile device, it would be much easier to do from a computer.

It also seems like a missing opportunity for community contributions to create a repository of checklists, potentially even manufacturer submitted/verified for newer aircraft.

Garmin Pilot not preserving checklist progress

I am running Garmin Pilot on an iPad Mini 6th Gen (version 26.2). The app is on the latest version (25.12.2)

I'm having an issue where GP won't preserve my checklist progress after I switch to another part of the app and come back to checklists. All progress is reset as if starting new.

I've tried closing the app in the app switcher, soft-resetting the iPad, hard-resetting the iPad to no avail.

Any thing else I can try?

Piper Warrior checklist

New to Garmin Pilot and trying to create a new aircraft. I used the Piper Warrior aircraft template. Fuel, W&B, Performance all came across great, but it will not import anything for checklists. I tried editing the aircraft after it was created, going to the checklists tab, and import from aircraft, but it won't let me put a checkmark beside checklists. What am I doing wrong?

https://rdamazio.github.io/efis-editor/ This editor will allow you to create checklists you can export in .gplt format that will work with Garmin Pilot and several other platforms. Unfortunately you can't edit any of the checklists resident in GP because they are encrypted and Garmin won't allow the EFIS Editor developers to include the code to edit those files.

Garmin Pilot Flight Plan Hardcopy

Until a recent software revision, Garmin Pilot sent an email with a concise one page rendering of each filed flight plan in the traditional format that pilots have ben used to for many decades. I have routinely printed a hardcopy of the emailed flight plan as backup to the electronic version on my iPad. Now we get an email with a four page summary(!) of the flight plan with lots of open spaces (e.g. the 2nd page is almost entirely blank) and additional information that is relatively useless (e.g., wake turbulence category, second in command, alternate call sign, etc.). So I have to print out 4 pages to get a copy of the flight plan. Please revert to the prior concise version which contains all of the information needed; or at least make that an option.

Also, on the new version of the emailed flight plan I notice that it indicates Cruise Speed = 321 (kts?).. That's about 65 kts above the max airspeed of my JetProp. Time enroute seems to be correct, so I'm sure the Garmin Pilot program is not using 321 kts to calculate cruise time!

In the last 4 months I have not had any issues with the cruise speed. And, recently it looks like you have reverted to the concise one-page printout of the Flight Plan. Thank you!!!
