Thank you for posting the picture. Once your regional Garmin Product Support responds to you, they will replace your MARQ under warranty. I am really sorry for the awful bad luck. I have never seen that…

The outcome of you help was that Garmin replaced my watch and I am now with a brand new watch and I am a very happy Garmin fan!

Yes, the clock was purchased in January 2020.

I also contacted Garmin as the white dots are falling out of the bezel...

curious to see how they will resolve this.

Yes. Please attach a picture. I cannot find any worldwide reports of the white dots coming out of a bezel. It would be good to see the picture and to be able to add it for tracking purposes to ensure what happened to your MARQ is a one-off scenario and not a bigger issue. Thank you!
