MARQ - 6.77 Beta Release

Hello MARQ customers,

The newest MARQ beta software is now available for your upcoming adventures! The beta below is not compatible with Marq Aviator.

6.77 Change Log Notes:

Fixed an issue where the device would crash when starting a POI search right after canceling an ‘Around Me” search.
Fixed an issue where features that auto-enable during the sleep window were not working as expected. (For Ex: Battery Saver.)
Made some improvements to the DogTracker widget.

We have temporarily removed in-activity data field editing in this beta. We have identified a few bugs and while they are difficult to reproduce, we do not want our customers to experience these issues. When these bugs are resolved, this feature will be added back in to software.

Current beta peripheral software version numbers below. New versions are indicated in red.

GPS: 2.70
Wi-Fi: 2.60
Sensor Hub: 4.20
ANT/BLE/BT: 4.30

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

Why are there never any betas for the aviator?

It make perfect sense to keep Aviator away from betas which could have an impact when flying with Potential dangerous consequences.

Thats what garmin says but that doesn't make sense at all. First, that software will be made available to the aviator soon or later when it goes out of beta but then it's even more dangerous because it wasn't properly tested. I know garmin have their own QC testing but one is to go test case testing second thing is to have beta tested by people who would use it... Anyway, im calling garmins approach rubbish

I suspect Garmin have people testing Aviator software/watches under carefully controlled conditions.

Exactly what I said, however testing device that's supposed to be worn out and about and being tested under controlled conditions is a joke. Think about it

Spelling out what I meant...

I would expect Garmin to be testing devices that have a 'life' risk attached to them with people using an updated watch alongside a watch that has not been updated and comparing the two.

I apologise for the lack of clarity in my response.

I struggle to imagine what role a Garmin watch really has in the cockpit.

Exactly! I highly doubt anyone flying would use the watch as a proper instrument gauge for flying IFR, instrument flight reading” purposes. This watch to a pilot is an aid and nice piece of additional support but not a sole source of critical information. I have taken flying lesson but do not fly, bought the watch purely for esthetic reasons and just want my expensive watch to be supported and updated just as the other models have.
