Background Color Changes During Activity

Quirky little bug here on the Expedition.

For hiking I have the data screen background color set to white. For cycling I have it set to black.

During activities, I often notice the background color changing on its own. Here is an example from this hike:

Black background. Then .1 miles and not even a minute later it changes to white:

Same hike, other photos:

Again, reverted back to a black background. One minute and .1 miles later and it went white:

I notice this on other activities, specifically cycling, it's just harder to capture photo evidence. As far as I am aware, it's been going on for about 3 months.

Climb pro/Auto climb or similar.

If you have "Auto Climb" enabled in your Hike app (or whichever app you are using) the default is to change the screen to black background, with the data screens configured in the Auto Climb settings for that app, when you are ascending at the trigger ascent rate.

This is not a bug, it's by design.

Also note that you can change that setting so that it doesn't invert colors. I tend to set it "on when not navigating" and set the climb and regular screens as "current screen" so that it only inverts the colors but doesn't change data page.

maybe the background changes color when you have "Auto Climing" on, but the background changes even if you have "Auto Climing" off. With me it does that with the walking workout and "Auto Climp" is definitely out on my Captain.
