Beta 3.34 --> 3.40 ?

Yes I know it will reset if I go back and ideally I should be able to update 3.34 to 3.40.

But will a beta automatically update?  It's common for devices in beta rings to be excluded from automatic updates within both the beta and the release streams (I mean in general, not specifically Garmin).

In other words, if I'm on 3.34, will I need to update to 3.40 manually?

Also, Garmin-Daniel, why lock the 3.40 announcement thread?  It would be better if that thread could continue to be used to consolidate any questions/feedback like on the old forums.

We have always locked all the software announcements in the forums. 

If anyone has any questions or find any issues they want us to look into, just start a new thread.  This makes sure no information is overlooked and also keeps things more organized too.

I noticed that they used to be locked in most forums, but not in the fenix 5/5+ forums - though that might have only been the beta announcements.

Yes, it was just the beta announcement threads that remained open for posts.
