Can Garmin create better analog watch faces? Also for digital, can you add an option not to not display certain fields...to make the screen look cleaner. Lastly, any can any colors be added?
Perhaps even more appropriate name for it is a binary display (monochrome often implies shades of grey).
From what I can see, the pixels cannot display the shades of grey, but only black or white. Grey is emulated by alternating black and white pixels in a pattern. That's one of the reasons why the aesthetics of analog faces is so poor (that, and the low resolution).
A big however is, what they often don't tell us when we get seduced by the looks of an OLED display, is that it'll flatten the battery in a matter of hours if left AOD. Instinct is I'd say, generally for people who value functionality over looks. I think the fact that it can run AOD with all smarwatch functions and sensors (OK, sans GPS) for two weeks on a single charge is simply amazing.
