If I enable the backlight not during activity with gesture after sunset dont work. I using the 13.20 firmware and I made a soft reset and still dont work
Does your backlight work when you quick press your top left CTRL button?
If you change your settings going to Settings > System > Backlight > Not During Activity > Set Gesture to On - Does your…
Awesome. With master reset now backlight works with gesture on without activity. Tomorrow I change to sunset and let you know. Many thanks
If you change your Backlight > Not During Activity > Gesture setting to On, does your gesture motion work?
NOTE: To get the gesture feature to work the best and most often by recognized by your accelerometer sensor, it works best if you put your arm in front of you with your watch pointing to the sky. Then rotate your wrist so you are now looking directly at your Instinct Solar display.
Pleaser also check your Settings > User Profile > Wrist is set to the correct wrist you were your watch on or your accelerometer sensor will not pickup the gesture motion.
Hmmm. That is very odd. Normally it is all or none when there is odd behavior for gesture and the backlight. There is one more thing you can try:
- Please master reset your watch - How to Reset My Garmin Watch.
If you continue to have the same issue, we will need to replace your watch. Please use the Outdoor Product Support contact information you will see on the bottom of the reset article. We will be happy to work with you further. (If you just bought your Instinct Solar series watch, you can return it back to the retail store or online vendor as long as within their return window allowed.)
Just to be sure that the obvious is not being forgotten: The sunrise/sunset hours are correct in your watch? The best way to ensure it is probably to start an activity that uses GPS, just to be sure that the watch has the correct position and, therefore, the correct sunrise/sunset hours.
