Garmin Instinct Solar has the same batteries as the first generation

Since September 1, he has been testing batteries in Garmin Instinct and Garmin instinct Solar watches

The battery lasted in both watches until September 16.

The specifications show that the first generation garmin instinct should last 14 days and tested it with a 24/7 heart rate measurement it lasted 16 days! so it is better to buy this watch than the Garmin Instinct Solar, which in the specification has 24 to 54 days in charging mode solar energy - In my opinion it does not work, because it keeps the same amount of time as the first generation !! Soon I will start recording videos on the YouTube channel comparing both watches, what are the differences between them. At the moment, I am very disappointed with the Garmin Instinct Solar model.

I believe you have a defective watch that needs repairing if the battery for the Solar does not last any longer than the original. With exactly the same use my Solar Instinct lasts about double the time of my original Instinct.

They have completely different GPS Chipset, Solar have the new one from Sony, the same that is used in the Forerunner 945 and Fenix 6. They are less power consuming.

My own experiences thus far with my Instinct Solar Camo, the battery is averaging 20+ days per charge and noticeably longer than my first generation Instinct. (15-20 days on average.)

Also, Battery Saver mode and setting it in direct sunlight in my window, has given a battery charge well over a month.

It depends on how you use your watch.

I tested both Garmin Instinct and Garmin Instinct Solar watches and they lasted the same 16 days.

I had my heart rate on, I was taking steps, and sometimes strength training, I was in the sun, and the result was practically the same.

Just get hold of Garmin directly and let them know the battery is not holding charge. They should look after you.

My Garmin Instinct solar also lasts 16 days on each charge. GPS is not enabled. The normal settings from the factory: notifications from your phone and pulse. No 24 days are out of the question. Marketing deception.

Check puls ox during sleep. Mine have 16 days on full charge with pulse ox. Now I have 92 % 26 days left

I also have pulse ox turned off. However, the number of remaining days is not correct. When the battery is 100% charged, the indicator shows 28 days. But in fact, 5% of the charge remains after 15 days.
