I've had this issue with the instinct 1 solar as well as the instinct 2 solar.
When running, particularly an ultra marathon, and I'm following a course the watch freeze when switching between the course screen and other screens.
This has caused major issues for me, the worst being when running a 100 mile race and having the watch crash 100km in, when trying to navigate at 12am and not turn back on, even with a soft reset. Had to navigate the rest of the race on my phone.
When getting home I found a way to do a factory reset using a combination of buttons as I couldn't access the menu.
This has caused me to lose my trust in Garmin as it crashed when I needed it the most.
I would like to know if there is a good for this or do I move to another watch brand that won't let me down mid race.
