Hello, I have an instinct 2 surf edition. In the surfline widget, there is an error when displaying the 5 waves closest to where you are. Surfline says, ERROR OBTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT THE POINTS... I have already done everything they told me to do to improve it, however the problem continues. Please give an answer.

    I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. There are some initial steps I would recommend trying to address this. 

    • Ensure the Phone OS and the Connect app are up to date.
    • Ensure the Location services for the Connect app are set to Always.
    • Keep the Connect app open and running on the phone, and keep app background refresh is enabled.

    1. Confirm you are paired and connected with the Garmin Connect app.

    2. Navigate to the Surfline widget / glance on your Garmin watch.

    3. Select the Surfline widget / glance.

    4. Select Update Beaches.

    Surfline updates information twice a day once before sunrise and again in the afternoon.

    if there is no change, I would recommend completing a hard reset. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again. 

    If this is still not working as expected, I would recommend contacting Garmin Product Support.
