Instinct 2X route planning and rowing

I am considering selling my Fenix 5X plus and getting the Innstinct 2X instead.

I am an avid hiker (distances between 15km to 800 km hikes) and i also row.

My question is....
Can I store long routes on the watch (eg plus 300 waypoints ) and does it count rowing strokes, as my current Fenix 5x plus does?

There's limits to the length of routes, but you could split them up into multiple routes. Which will also help with loading the routes more quickly. Maybe you want to split the route on you planned break locations.
