I do not have 11.18 system Update

Hi, as Announcements stated here, the system update 11.18 is live, but 1 month passed I still don't have update available through my garmin connect, latest it 10.10. Also I tried to update side load beta 12.09, following the instrution, copying files, but nothing happened. Any guide please.

  • Did you purchase your watch in any Asia/Pacific region? If so, then APAC devices are not compatible with the standard firmware, and you will have to wait till the Garmin's APAC branch releases the update. It usually takes a month or two.

  • It doesn't seem to be available in the UK either (as of today the latest that Garmin Connect shows is 10.10).

    Check for updates with with Garmin Express. If you do no have an APAC device, it does not matter where you are, v11.18 is available.

  • Indeed, I installed Garmin Express and it showed 11.18 update as available, unlike Garmin Connect iPhone app. Thank you trux, this update might solve many of my problems.

    There is no restriction, except if you have an APAC model, and in that case you have to wait till the Asian/Pacific branch releases the upgrade.

    AFAIK 12.xx is beta. If your watch is not APAC version sign up to then beta program if you want 12.xx

  • Small kick. three months since the 11 release. Still nothing for the APAC. Are the rumours true Garmin can't get it stable because of the Asian fonts?

  • There is a great deal of thorough testing that is done with each new software update along with new translations must be created for all software changes in all languages across SE Asia. The average is 2-4 months after the worldwide official release but it can go longer.

    I bought the Instinct 2 Solar (APAC 10.10)in good faith believing the watch is working as it should.

    On my second ride i realised Resume later function will cause the watch to crash and reboot, and wiping the previous few hours worth of Heath & Wellness data..

    Small issue since its solvable by update in the 11.17 software update. But because I am in Asia and my device is an APAC model. im not able to get that update.. Again I thought small issue.. I will just  try to enroll in the public beta program and try to get the older 11.17 firmware.. But no,  What give ?

    It is pretty frustrating there is no time line to this. I even bought the watch knowing i should be able to see way point / saved locations name on the map when navigating.. But no, this is available on the Instinct 1 but not on the 2 ? Even after 1 year of product release ? 

    Look, i really like this new expensive watch i bought. But it is really very disappointing to see this delay in FW updates. Again I understand that its due to the language support.

    But will it be a good suggestion to allow users like me who have no care and concern for language support to enroll in the public beta? 

    Why isn't it not made known on your product website of such important details with regards to the different time line for Software support ? Had i known earlier i would have really considered my choice to make my purchase locally.
