Fenix 8 47mm AMOLED — Sleep onset not detected since May update (stable 22.35)

**Device:** Fenix 8 47mm AMOLED
**Firmware:** 22.35 (stable) — issue introduced by a prior May stable update, not fixed in 22.35

---

**Issue: Sleep onset not detected / sleep start missing**

Since approximately May 22, my watch consistently fails to detect the beginning of my sleep. It records a sleep start roughly 1 hour (sometimes more) later than my actual time of falling asleep, resulting in shorter recorded sleep duration and impacted Body Battery / Training Readiness scores.

**What I have ruled out:**
- Sleep schedule (sleep window) is correctly configured in Garmin Connect and on the watch
- Wrist heart rate monitoring is active 24/7
- Watch fit and placement are unchanged
- No change in behavior: I read a paper book in bed for ~1 hour before sleeping, as I have done for months without any issue
- Updating to 22.35 on May 28 did not resolve the issue — no sleep-related fix appears in its changelog

**Before the May updates:** Sleep onset was tracked accurately and consistently.

This appears to be a regression introduced in a stable firmware update around May 22. Since 22.35 is now the current stable release and the bug persists, this affects all Fenix 8 47mm AMOLED users on the stable channel.

Is anyone else experiencing this on stable firmware? Has Garmin flagged it?
