Struggelin with poor call quality.

I like taking calls on my Garmin Fenix 8, but I often have to hang up and switch to my phone because people say they can’t hear me or the call quality is poor. Is this a known issue with the Fenix 8, or could something be wrong with my watch? Are there any settings or fixes I should try?

  • Have you another phone you can make a test with, btw what is your phone a Brand/Model? You can try to unpair and pair the watch to see if it's make a difference.

Indeed this is something Garmin struggling a lot because it's not like they have to make the watch fully compatible with one phone, you see what I mean. I don't expect they burn so much gas on this right now, there are many things more important to address before the issues with the phone call.
  • Thank you, I will give it a try. I have the S24 Ultra.

Does anyone have experience with the call quality? Is it consistent, or does it vary?

  • Yes, call quality is poor on my F8. Have to speak loud and near the mic, also voice notes record only noise when speaking quiet, but somehow Siri is OK with quiet voice requests.

  • I don't know if there's any point in commenting on this. It's been described here so much. So many complaints about bad calls.... weak speaker, the other side can't hear well... and Garmin hasn't done anything about it yet. Garmin doesn't read these forums and doesn't comment on anything. If you play music on the Watch, it will be really loud. If you make a phone call, it will be quiet. In 4 months, Garmin hasn't done anything about it and I'm afraid they won't either. There have already been a lot of complaints about this. I use an iPhone but people who have Android describe the same problems. F8 51mm Amoled are a nice watch. But the further I go, the more I think about the Applewatch Ultra, even at the cost of having to charge them every two day. I still get a better and more problem-free experience than with this model.
