The image sent from whatsapp cannot be displayed on the watch.

no, this doesn't work. it works sometimes and then only when i receive a second message. this is something that needs to be fixed.

Unless the Whatsapp code is open, wouldn't there need to be some sort of collaboration between Garmin and Whatsapp for Garmin to update their code this isn't happening for some reason at the moment? My point is that Garmin is not a big player in the Whatsapp ecosystem and without the collaboration, this might be broken for a while.

Agreed. It's odd that some apps work with images and some don't. Doesn't meta own WhatsApp and therefore I wonder if Facebook images are displayed as part of notifications?

For me, the image is only shown when I receive a second message. It is unrelated to Google Photos, YouTube, or WhatsApp.

Also, I am sure that Garmin knows about this issue on the F8, as many users have reported it and even tagged them to address it. But no one has replied.

Still no picture preview on WhatsApp. (Sometimes it works) Maybe its a problem when a picture is in portret instead of landscape? Not sure, but at the moment i have a portret picture not showing.

It works if you recieve two messages, if the first has a picture after the second message the picture is shown

Why didn't Garmin try to fix this issue? Even not reply to anyone with this inquiry?

This issue has not occurred on my 7X before.

Still doesn’t works with 13.31 version…it doesn’t seems a very hard problem to solve

Very disappointed that they chose to ignore our questions. It is obviously a software bug.
