I can't reach 10k steps

I can't reach 10k steps, it always comes back to 8500, quite frustrating, does anyone have a solution? Below you can see that I have over 13k steps, but again I have a total of 8500 steps.

Do you / have you had more than one watch that is used to track your steps? Just guessing, but make sure the watch you're wearing is the primary device for the daily metrics. When I got my latest watch, it asked if I wanted to switch over to the new one.

Just a suggestion.

thanks for the response, yes the fenix 8 is the primary and only device at the moment, I removed the previous watch from my account
