It seems that my Fenix 7X Pro Solar Sapphire is having some issues with lactate threshold auto-detection.
It hadn’t been updated for a while, yesterday I did a “hard” session consisting of 23 minutes in threshold zone (1 block 8min + 1 block 15 minutes) . So I would expect it to have updated the threshold, or at least maintained it.
After the session, it does not indicate that a new threshold has been detected (although I believe it should have at least improved the pace, but OK). Also, in Garmin Connect the week appears blank in the graphs.
To my surprise, even though I have lactate threshold auto-detection enabled, the watch shows the threshold as 160 bpm – manually entered.
This morning I see that Connect has updated the LT, reducing it to 159 bpm, although the pace remains unchanged.
I have tried syncing the watch several times and even restarted it, but it won’t update the LT to the 159 bpm shown in Connect. So I’ve set it manually again (I calculate my zones based on LT), while still keeping auto-detection enabled after the manual override.
I’m not sure if this could be related to the new firmware, since before the update, it used to work correctly before.
Am I doing something wrong? Is it normal for LT in Connect and on the Fenix not to sync properly?
Best regards,
