What is the minimum firmware version required for the fenix 7 to use watch faces normally?

My Fenix 7 has worse battery performance on the new firmware version compared to the old one, but after I downgraded it myself, many watch faces can no longer be installed. What is the minimum firmware version for the Fenix 7 to use watch faces normally?

On F7 Series (all models), System (firmware) version :

16.xx (min recommended 17.28) brings CIQ API 5.0.0 (System 7)
- should be good be good for a lot of the CIQ store content
20.xx brings CIQ API 5.1.0 (System 8)
23.xx brings CIQ API 5.2.0, latest and maybe no change in the futur for our deprecated watches

Thank you, I found versions 16.22 and 17.28. If some watch faces are usable, I'll go with this version.

Most are IF you already installed them before on this unit while on an uptodate software at the time and hence to be found in GE -> IQ Apps -> All, which is the path to reinstall them. Just did it minutes ago on my test unit with 17.28.

It is no longer possible to use GCIQ app with downlevel software and installing via GE -> Browser is no longer possible at all.

Ofc. w/ 15.77 - 17.28 it will be no problem to sideload apps and WFs IF you happen to have the .prg.

This is a resource you should have handy whenever you consider downgrading and I'm very grateful that he maintains it still regardless of all odds and the dismissive reactions he received from Garmin.
