I didn't worry at all about this past few years when I read threads as I didn't have a Garmin that did native running power
But now that I do, and I have it set to "accessory mode" for running power source, apparently it's using my HRM-PRO-Plus without giving an option for any other source
If I disable HRM-PRO or maybe force it to use bluetooth instead of ANT+ so running dynamics disappears
will it then use Stryd?
At first glance Garmin running power seems to have some parallel to Stryd watts but closer study shows Garmin is way way overestimating most of the time
Still can't grasp why they never bought Stryd, the Wind measurement alone is worth it's weight in gold when you are running into headwinds almost daily now from climate change
But other watch brands do 100% Stryd support natively, why not Garmin except "not invented here" ?
At least both are written to the FIT file and not clobbered, so there's at least that
(Purple is Garmin, Orange is Stryd)
