Fenix 7x Pro Solar Sapphire will not connect to new Android phone.

  1. No problem with previous ios device. Reset phone, app and watch multiple times, still no success. Very disappointing. Ive even followed Garmin's advice- still nothing.
  2. Garmin are saying i need to connect the phone to a PS...what, are we living in 1980?
  3. I didnt pay $1200 for a paperweight, that i need to hook up to my pc to use.
  • With your device you will want to ensure that you have removed it from the previous phones Bluetooth if you still have it on hand. Once completed power off the old phone before walking through the pairing steps on your Android device. You will want to ensure that you check your settings on the phones Bluetooth to ensure that the Garmin Connect app has permission to access your phones Bluetooth. Once completed walk through the steps in the following article to pair your watch, ensuring you place the fenix 7 into pairing mode before you hit '+' in the Garmin Connect app.

How Do I Pair My Watch to a New Phone?

  • I have tried all of these steps- without success. I am getting tired of your essentially useless advice....give me something different to try- above and beyond the standards steps described to date, because they arent working.

  • When you place your fenix 7x into pairing mode what does the watch display?

  • I have the same issue ... used to be no problems ... now the watch does not appear to enter pairing mode when you select it ... it just shows you a QR code that takes you to the generic add device in the connect app ... it doesn't even pre-select the model! ...

IMHO it should be in bluetooth pairing when the QR is up and just scan to connect to it with no other input ... but I doubt if it is even in BT pairing mode when the QR is up!

  • I have the same issue. Endless resets, impair, restarts, removes. Garmin watches have always been hot crap in regards to pairing. I just got an s26 ultra and I can completely unpair it from my s25 ultra remove it from Bluetooth restart phones restart watches and it will pair with my new phone. However I am able to repair it to the s25 ultra even after it's been removed from Bluetooth and from The connect app it's getting added as a new device I'm even getting the emails but it will not pair on a new device. I like Garmin devices but honestly I think I'm about sick of their ecosystem

  • I am having the same issue with Samsung S26 Ultra. My Garmin dows not connect with the phone.

  • I successfully fixed the problem! I reset setting in my Fenix 7X Pro and I took it in use a "new" watch. Pairing was successful with the first try. Also it was nice that I could install backup to watch so all settings (watch faces etc) were automatically set.

  • I am having the same issue. My watch just shows the QR code. When I scan that with my phone it takes me to the Garmin Connect pairing screen, where I have to select the device manually, and it can't seem to find it.
That said, I can manually pair the watch using the phone's bluetooth settings page. Is there anyway to tell the app to use the existing pair? Some kind of developer toggle or something? The automatic pairing in the app just doesn't seem to work. I have tried all the steps, and even setting up a "new" watch after doing a data reset on the watch, and re-installing the app on my phone.
