Screen is dull and dim

No, the fenix 7 is designed for battery life and good readability outdoors and has a MIP display.

This is a different technology than the AMOLED display of the SA4. 

Both technologies have their advantages and disadvantages. You should have researched this before making your purchase. You can see what type of display the different models have on the Garmin website.

In addition to what bluefish wrote already: 

There is a version of your watch with AMOLED screen, it is called epix pro 51mm. The main downsides of AMOLED is the lower battery life and that the display will only turn on when you move your wrist. That's why many people still prefer the mip screen with its dull colors and lack of contrast. 

Easy, easy...I just wanted an explanation. That's all. Since there is a good one, that is great. It is readable, I just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with the watch. Thank you for the explanation. I remember seeing it had a MIP display. I did not think I'd have to look up what that meant.

I had the  same problem with my Garmin Fenix 7 pro sapphire solar but i searched on google  and i find out that i had to disable the ,,Auto backlight,, . It was that simple!
