So... what will it take for Garmin to actually start releasing versions of their software that don't completely brick your thousand-dollar watch?? Went to sleep, woke up to an automatic update which bricked my device by somehow disabling the wireless feature on my Garmin device, meaning all Wi-Fi connections and all Bluetooth connections will not be recognized. Reset my watch multiple times, NOTHING, reinstalled software with the top-secret menu NOTHING. Contacted Garmin support last week, no response.
Looked into it and turns out every single year there's some sort of issue with connectivity being disabled for users and it’s been about 7 years back-to-back over the course of multiple months as well, and even more ridiculous than that, they apparently charge 200 dollars (no idea how true that part is because it hasn't happened to me yet) for a replacement for a lazy update THEY made that bricks MY DEVICE. How many people will it take to sue Garmin before they start talking their really lazy and rushed software updates seriously??.
Now other than whatever is going on with this update on my Epix Pro 2, it’s a good watch with some amazing features that Apple will never compete with but at this point might as well go back to Apple for reliability and the non-scummy updates with horrible customer support.
Does anyone have a software file I can downgrade to, maybe that will fix this problem because apparently Garmin doesn't make their zip files easily downloadable for its user base even with their completely useless Garmin Express app
