It is very annoying !! During my last 3 running session, the watch stop and restart. I had the same issue either with the sofware version 19.34 or 19.38.
Can anybody help me if there is anything to do to avoid that ??

Same problem... the Fenix 7 has been unusable for a few weeks. I'm seriously considering changing brand

On the very bottom of this page, there are links for firmware download for each Garmin watch type. Second link is for the Fenix 7 (non-pro) version. Click on the link and you will download previous version 18.09. This zip file includes two folders. 18.09 firmware and 17.28_systembackdate. In this folder you'll find 17.28 stable firmware for your Fenix 7.
For Fenix 7 PRO and 7X Pro watches links in the thread above do not work. I have available only FW 17.28 for Fenix 7 Pro. Thanks to Socorsu user that send me the link on this forum.

Follow the instruction on link below to downgrade to 17.28 firmware. This thread is for 16.22 firmware but the instructions are valid regardless of the firmware version.

This solution worked for me but I was facing some issues with restoration of the watch setting from backup. I had to make it several times till it was successful.

I downgraded my Fenix 7X SS to 17.28 and today, during a 7 hours hike, it didn't reboot. I disabled th automatic updates to avoid Garmin pushes buggy SW. Anyway, I will continue to test it in the next few days
Hello. I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. Our engineers have identified an issue that may cause crash/reboot during navigating or using the Map app. There is a fix this planned for the next full Public software release.
