I still have a 14% battery drain per day. I have the watch Fenix 7 standard. Now I have the latest updates v. 19.34. I have now turned off accident detection for all activities, so we'll see. Is there a solution?

Hello,
Our engineers are investigating battery drain concern with the Pro Fenix 7 series. So if you are having trouble with this, I would love to collect specifics of this concern. For this, I will reach…
Hi, Fenix 7 pro definitely has the battery drain issue too with 19.34. My consumption without any activity is 2 times more compared to before the FW released with fenix 8.
To my feeling is the battery drain higher since the update to 19.34. The battery drain about twice as it was before (about 8-10% per day iso 4%). (Fenix-7)
Where can I find fw 17.28 for the 7X? Thank you
It was finished without any issue, the SW version shows 17.28 from the settings menu. I have a normal Fenix 7, mine now draw's 1.35% per hour. I can retry to flash it over, but I don't expect anything to change. There is likely still a setting which is configured and stay's after downgrade. It's really sad that a company as Garmin cannot figure out what is causing this issue, I allowed them already to investigate my complete profile etc but without success. They should know which options can cause high drainage and monitor these value's. I would be willing to support them and install updates or a specific debug app to monitor parameters if they cannot reproduce the issue in their development team.
You can find the 17.28 backdate firmware in the bottom of this post, it is zipped together with revision 18.09: forums.garmin.com/.../beta-version-18-10---check-for-updates-only
Yesterday I installed the latest 19.38 patch version and my first opinion is that the battery usage is back to normal. I will keep a close look on it.
Thank you Laurens. Does it apply even if I am not enrolled in the "tester" program?
I'm also not enrolled in that program. It's just moving the 2 files in the 17.28 folder to the Garmin folder like explained somewhere. After unplugging the USB the watch will show the update question
Laurens, I installed 17.28. As soon as I set up the device, the consumption was high. I turned the device off, waited a few minutes and turned it on. The consumption is negligible. I have never had them so low. Also it seems that the altimeter is stable. With fw 19.38 the values were off. So far I am satisfied although I notice that the recommended workouts have changed
Just wanted to weigh in a note that my brand new Fenix 7X Pro SS was draining about 8-9% daily, which had me browsing here for answers to the excess battery drain. I found a suggestion to update the Maps via Garmin Express on my desktop and it appears that the issue (for now) has resolved itself. I'm running 19.38 as well.
I am on 17.28 and wonder if you notice a drainage with the last 19.41 firmware?
