Can not send workout to Garmin Fenix 7

So... I just bought a new garmin, so far I'm quite happy with the device but the "send workout to device" is not working for me, any suggestion? 

I can create the workout using the Garmin Connect app but if I try sending it to my device or adding it to my workout calendar it doesn't show on my device.

    Hello 

    I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. For this, there are a some steps we would recommend trying. 

    • If you are creating a Custom activity, you need to have Custom activity app created on the watch to find this workout. 
    • There is a limit to how many workouts you can add to the watch. This is usually 20-25 workouts. So you may ensure you have not reached this limit. 
    • Ensure the watch software is up to date.
    • Ensure the phone OS is up to date, as well. 
    • Have you tried sending the Workouts while connected to Garmin Express? If not, I would recommend trying this. 
    • If this continues, I would recommend removing the workouts folder from the watch. 
    1. Connect the watch to a Windows computer
    2. Open the watch drive
    3. Open the Garmin folder
    4. Select and delete the Workouts folder
    5. Disconnect the watch and powercycle the watch
    6. Then try sending the workout again

    Hi! So I've got it working! 

    For me what worked was:

    - Delete default existing workouts (using the device it self) 
    - Sync my workouts
    - Wait... wait... wait and then when I woke up in the morning they were there.

    I'm not completely sure if point 1 made any difference but for sure what is happening is that they take longer than expected to sync (or to be displayed). 

    Any way, it works, so I'm happy with it. ^.^

    It is not the watch, something is very very slow in the process. It takes at least 1 hour and sometimes 2 days for  new workouts to show up on my Forerunner. In the past I could put workouts on the calendar to speed that process up, but that does not work anymore (for me).

    Did you try sending the workouts to the watch using Garmin Express?

    No, just the GCM app. I don't have a system at hand that has an OS that can run Express. I'll just wait until it is resolved, it worked perfectly until a few weeks ago, I suppose it will work again in the future.
