Backup from F7XSS and restore to new F7XproSS - possible?

Yes absolutely possible. I did an EPIX (non pro) restore to EPIX Pro with no issues.

great - how did you do that? was it possible to select the new watch in the restore progress?

On PC with GE and GC it works. Only problem is, that it doesn´t restore the Connect IQ data fields. But I use only two, so it was quick to add...

Have you tried copying the content of the watches backup folder to the new watch and restore there via settings?

I also did this from F7SS to F7ProS.

Backups from previous watch are seen in phone app, once you pair the new watch you can see and use restore in the phone app in the settings -> backup&restore.

WatchFaces are not in the backup, data and settings are, about apps I don't use any.

No, I didn't know that it's possible. But there is definitely some bug in Garmin express. Each time I connect the restored watch to PC, all my activities apps are gone! Also the Garmin express is asking to enter account email and password, after that, the apps are gone. It's 100% replicable.

Now I can see both backups, from F7 and from F7Pro. But after first start of F7Pro, there wasn't F7 backup visible in GC. Only in F7 section. But on PC, it was visible in GC web.

So I tried official 14.36FW (was on 14.66 beta), but same BUG. If I connect restored watch to PC (even with GE closed and no watch add in GE!!), I lost all restored activities apps and it can´t be add again. Maybe third F7Pro will work. Thanks Garmin. I´m slowly loosing my patience with Garmin watch.
