New Fenix 7 Pro activities for non-Pro Fenix 7 devices

Is there any chance some (or all) new activity profiles from 7 Pro models will come to non-Pro devices as well?

I take that Badminton and Inline Skating files when the first people have their devices. Maybe Table Tennis..can't hurt too..

Everyhting except the hardware features (and the pro watch faces) will come to the non pro models.

I wonder how Garmin is going to do this?

It seems Pro and Non-Pro use the same firmware.

13.22 just got released without those activities.

So the Pro models must have a newer version.

Will there be a new update in the next few days?

Yes to activities. Probably no auto backlight as the Fenix 7 is missing the sensor for it. Some reviers said maybe it is coming to older egenerations. But how when there sensor for it is missing.

But besides that and the new HW features, yes. DCR already said this. And normally this should be quite soon with a beta update but months for official sw release.

Solar models got the "sensor". Quote from the review: " We are also now utilizing the solar panel itself as an ambient light sensor. Garmin says these “improve usability and power efficiency and automatically adapts the backlight to different lighting conditions"

Been requesting this for a while, I just hope they are doing it right, I don't need brightness levels, I just need on / off based on ambient light.

Beta just finished, it should take a while before a new beta cycle starts, but the software must be ready because it's on the pro model you can buy now.

Does not make sense if they use the same software as you said. If the pro is running firmware 14 already it should also be available already. People will just try to extract the firmware from the pro series.

Good to know. I own the standard one and looked at the specs with no light sensor mentioned. Then this fetaure will probably come to the Fenix solar lineup too.
