Fenix 7x SS Battery issues

Hello everyone,

I purchased a Fenix 7x SS. Love the watch but I am having trouble with the battery consumption.

I have SPo2 turned off, stock watch face, backlight at 10 percent with gesture turned off, keep it in airplane mode unless syncing data with my phone (I don't use it as a smartwatch for notifications).

I have not been able to get more than 16 days out of a charge and that was with only 3 hours of gps. I've tried a soft reset and my software is all up to date. Over those 16 days I also collected an average of 90k lux hours per day. I spoke to Garmin support and their suggestions did nothing to improve the battery life. Do I have a weak battery?

Do you have the latest public firmware 11.28 ? There were already problems with increased battery consumption in the beta version of 11.28.

My Tactix 7 Pro dropped from 28 days to 9 days of runtime with no change in settings after installing 11.28. No CIQ watchface, no pulseOx.

The fact is that since 11.28 my watch has almost minute Bluetooth disconnects to the phone. When I have the Connect app open, I can literally watch the green dot light up and go off again. This causes the watch to sync again and again, and then the connection drops again. Something seems wrong with the ANT/BLE firmware since 11.28.

That's a real shame, I will be returning the watch. Garmin needs to either fix this issue or change the battery life they are currently advertising in my opinion.

You could try a reset, but all resets did not bring any improvement for me. Even if Garmin would suggest to replace the watch, it does not help, because it is a FW problem.

Thanks bluefish, what a shame. Think they will fix this or is this just how it'll be from now on.

Recently Garmin Pay stopped working. Trying to fix the problem, I did the first factory restore since I bought the watch when was released. I have a battery drain of 1% per hour!! Before that, I was charging the watch from 10% to 100% about every 18 days (I note every charge that I have done). I did 2 more factory resets but nothing fixed the drain. I have the FW 11.28 and till recently I was very happy with the watch. Now I am waiting for new firmware hopping to fix the problems but I am very disappointed.
